Windows 10 disable peer to peer updates features how to
This feature is turned on by default.
One of the new Microsoft Windows 10 features is a new way to distribute Windows 10 updates.
Both security and optional updates by default are now distributed using a peer to peer technology
where windows updates are downloaded from either Microsoft’s server’s or another Windows 10 computer
on the public internet or another Windows 10 computer on your own local area network.
If you aren’t comfortable with this arrangement this feature can be turn off or disabled
in 6 steps.

Here’s how to do it.

1) Open Settings = Swipe in from the right and touch/click the All Settings tile
2) In Setting = touch/click Update & Security
3) In Update & Security = touch/click Windows Update
4) In Windows Update = touch/click advanced options
5) In Advanced Options = touch/click Choose how updates are delivered
6) In Choose How Updates = Are Delivered turn off/toggle off Updates from more than one place

There, that was easy?

Now you will only be receiving Windows 10 updates from the Microsoft update server
and your computer and internet resources won’t be used to serve up any Microsoft Windows 10 updates.
